Son of Roland and Kristin Selby. Husband of Julie Lynn (nee Anderson) Selby of Surrey British Columbia.Captain Selby was a member of the Snowbirds aerobatic team and flew as the Opposing Solo. He was killed when two jets crashed in mid-air during a routine practice near Mossbank, Saskatchewan.
Miles was Snowbird 8 at the time. In 2004, Miles was Snowbird 4, first line astern pilot. Previous to that, he flew F18s in Cold Lake, on 416 and 441 Tactical Fighter Squadrons. He flew operational missions in Kosovo while on 416.
